SEEGrid - Showcasing Interoperability of Government Geoscience Data for the Australian Minerals Industry

The SEEGrid project recognises that it is necessary for open standards and interfaces to be established by the earth sciences communities to be able to interoperate effectively.

The Solid Earth and Environment Grid community has been established to bring together people in the earth, environmental and computing sciences to address the issues of "transparent access" to data and knowledge about the earth, and the available and potential technologies offered by the grid that enhance our ability to explore for and manage our natural and mineral resources.

Fractal Technologies has been a supporter of the project since its inception and actively contributes to the key software developments required to support the ongoing success of SEEGrid. This has included the development of XMML importers and exporters for FracSIS and developing FracSIS as a client that can access data from SEEGrid Web Feature Service (WFS) sites.
